Programme Description | The course has been developed in accordance with the requirement of the final act of the International Conference Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Fishing Vessel Personal 1995. (STCW-F 95.) The syllabus for this certificate was adopted, from the STCW- F 95 Resolution 4 Training of deck hands on board fishing vessels of 24 meters and over The focus of this syllabus is on the safe operation of vessels with one unit being fisheries-specific. Although the syllabus is intended for the certification of fishing vessel crews, much of the content is common to the operation of other types of vessel. |
Minimum Requirement | • The Applicant shall not be less than 18 years of age and not more than 22 years old at the time of closing applications. • Attained Basic Sea Safety Certificate. a) Personal Survival Techniques. Section A-VI/1-1 of the STCW Code b) Elementary First Aid. Section A-VI/1-3 of the STCW Code c) Fire Prevention and Firefighting. Section A-VI/1-2 of the STCW Code d) Personal Safety and Social Responsibilities Section A-VI/1, table A-VI/1-4 • Pass in Year 10 (Form 4) or equivalent. |
