Programme Description | This course covers the mandatory minimum basic sea safety training requirements for seafarers working Fishing Vessels and also serves as a basic safety certificate for shore based personal intending work on small crafts on limited sea journeys. The course is designed taking in to elements of to set out in Regulation Reg. VI/1, Sec A- VI/1 Para 2, Table A-VI/1-1, A-VI/1-2, A-VI/1-3, A-VI/1-4 of the STCW 78’ Convention in to consideration and extended to comply with the requirements of STCW 95-F convention once it is ratified by the Government of Fiji. |
Minimum Requirement | • Any person who wishes to take up a career at sea may apply, enrollment subject to complying and declaring current with required medical conditions. • Applicant must be of at least 16 years of age • Must be medically fit enough to participate in exercises |
