This course covers the mandatory minimum requirements for the issue of certificate of proficiency in Medical First Aid specified in Regulation VI/4 Para 1 & 3, Section A-VI/4, Paragraph 1 to 3 table A-VI/4-1 of the STCW ’78 Convention, as amended.
This course covers the mandatory training requirement prescribed by regulation VI/4 paragraph 1 of STCW 78’ and is intended for seafarers designated to take charge of medical first aid specified in section A-VI/4 paragraph 1 to 3 of the STCW 78’ Convention, as amended.

•	The candidate shall not be less than 18 years of age at the time of closing applications.  
•	The candidate must pass the Year 12 or Year 13 Examination with a pass in English.
•	Hold Proficiency in Elementary First Aid Certificate or equivalent training certificate recognised by Fiji Maritime Academy.
