Programme Description

This module specifies the competency required to prepare the surface for tilling works that includes wall surface and floor surface. The knowledge and skills imparted on the use of tools and equipment to prepare surfaces for tiling will enhance the participant selection of right tools for the jobs or task. The underpinning knowledge to set up the given site or simulated site to safe work area will enhance the safety of participants, tools and others. Relevant safety signs and barricading work to given work site will be high at priority to prevent chipping flying as hazard. At this stage the participants will be given to prepare surface to the given range but not limited to: masonry/block wall, cement board, concrete and ply.
