Programme Description

This module specifies the competency required to safely select and use painting tools and equipment. Prepare for simple painting task  will be incorporated in this module to enhance the participants to fully prepare for a job or task in terms of safety, list of tools for task or job, list of materials for job or task, protecting the site and its occupants. The underpinning knowledge of tools and equipment will assist participants to select the right tools for job or task. At this stage the participants will be given to apply paint by use of brush and rollers to simple projects or simulated projects.  

Course Learnings

Select and prepare materials and equipment for task,   
Plan a job, specify coatings and apply specified paint coatings to given substrates  
Apply paint with brush/roller   
Clean up tools, equipment and workplace,
