Programme Description

This module specifies the competency required to lay floor tiles to concrete and cement board surface. The underpinning knowledge to use various tools and equipment to lay floor tiles will enhance participant to boost the skills level and at the same the techniques used to set or layout floor tiles will be an advantage to participants. Basic calculation will be incorporated in this module to calculate the number of tiles will be required for a given area and at the same calculate the size for cutting piece if required. At this stage the participants will mix the tile glue and lay floor tiles to given area.  

Course Learnings

Prepare work area and compute material list to lay floor tiles,   
Identify tools and prepare tiles, materials used to lay floor tiles,   
Layout patterns/design, mix tile glue to lay tiles as per sketch/plan,   
Apply tile grouts and clean surface with work area,
