Carpentry Trade Modules

Programme Description

This module specifies the competencies required to safely select and use carpentry tools and equipment. The underpinning knowledge and skills will assist participants to select the right tools for the job and also understand and apply the maintenance of tools used to carry out carpentry task. The unit includes hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, plant and equipment. At this stage participants will be demonstrated the right way to use and maintain hand and power tools used for general construction works. Participants undergoing theory, practical task and assessments will be competent to use hand and power tools in the industry.
