Carpentry Trade Modules

Programme Description

This module specifies the competency required to construct and install timber external stairs that may involve one or more flights to provide access into a structure. The underpinning knowledge and skills will enhance participants understand different parts of staircase and different types of stair. The basic calculation will enlighten participants to calculate the number of steps per flight within the tolerance set. This module includes but is not limited to timber treads and timber stringer. Construction of balustrades to the staircase includes local timber such as Dakua, Vesi, bamboo, etc.
