Programme Description

This module specifies the competency required to prepare, set out and construct eaves including the cutting and fixing of fascia and barge board to provide a finish between the wall and the roof. The unit includes boxed eaves, open eaves, sloping eaves and the finish to gable ends. The underpinning knowledge and practical tasks includes the knowledge and skills required to carry out simple calculation in relation to eaves construction to gable roof structure and flat roof as per the drawing or sketch provided. At this stage the participants will have knowledge and skills to design and construct different types of eaves.
