Programme Description

This module specifies the competency required to carry out measurements and perform simple calculations to calculate the volumes, area and perimeter of different shapes. Basic applied calculation will be carried out to calculate basic elements of residential buildings. At this stage the participant will carry out necessary calculation to complete given practical task. Basic calculation of major components for timber building and also concrete building will be covered in this module. This basic calculation will lead the participants to develop a material list that will help them to develop an estimate for simple project.
