Programme Description

This module specifies the competency required to use local bamboos to create various joints that can be used to make bamboo furniture. The underpinning knowledge will enhance the participant to use various hand and power tools to cut basic joints using local bamboo. At this stage the participants will enhance the knowledge and skills for the maintenance of various hand and power tools that will be used this module. With the knowledge and skills the participants are to construct a simple project using at least five joints using local bamboo.

Identify the types of bamboo used for bamboo furniture,   
Design and construct bamboo furniture with local bamboo,
