Programme Description

This unit of competency specifies the outcomes required to undertake basic costing and estimating of construction works - taking into consideration material quantities, specification requirements and Labour costs. The participants will be equipped with the knowledge and skills of taking-off materials for a residential building and at the same lean to estimate the projects with floor area with the current average market rate. For the same the participants will be assessed on to estimate the materials for a simple one bedroom house with full costing and summary of the estimate. This summary will include labour costing, material costing, plant hire costing, sundries, profit and contingencies.
