Programme Description
This module covers Automotive Batteries Theory, Diagnosis, Service and Safety. Contained within this course is instruction on how to identify component functions, characteristics, and principles of operations of the covers in Automotive Batteries Theory, Diagnosis, Service and Safety. It is also designed to cover the competencies required to service and maintain automotive batteries. The module includes fault finding, servicing, repair and testing vehicle batteries as well as managing used battery components in maintaining our environment. Each competency covered in this programme will link to the level 4 of the Automotive National Qualifications.

Confirm proper battery capacity for vehicle application; perform battery capacity test; determine necessary action, 
Maintain or restore electronic memory functions,

Perform slow/fast battery charge according to manufacturer\'s recommendations, 
Jump-start vehicle using jumper cables and a booster battery or an auxiliary power supply.
