Course Name Two Stroke Engines
Department Department of Automotive and Mechanical
Programme Description
This course is designed to introduce participants to the operation of the two stroke internal combustion engine. Participants will study the principles of two and four stroke engine operation and the various systems typically found on a small gasoline engine. Participants will gain a thorough understanding of two stroke engine operation through tasks designed to lead the disassembling, inspecting, and reassembling a small gasoline engine. The module includes how to perform minor service, major service and full preventative maintenance as well as managing oil and components in maintaining our environment. Each competency covered in this programme will link to the level 4 of the Automotive National Qualifications.
