Programme Description

This module covers Light Automotive engine cooling systems. Contained within this course is instruction on how to identify component functions, characteristics, and principles of operations of the light automotive engine cooling systems. It is also designed to cover the competencies required to service and repair light vehicle engine cooling systems. The module includes fault finding, servicing, repair and testing light automotive engine cooling systems as well as managing used coolant in maintaining our environment. Each competency covered in this programme will link to the level 4 of the Automotive National Qualifications.

Identifications of cooling systems components,
Interpretation of information on engine coolant containers
Labeling and storing used coolant and unused engine coolant,
Removal of engine cooling systems components, 
Checks for components wear and damage,
Troubleshooting cooling faults,
Use manufacture manuals on engine cooling system servicing and repair,
Test repair works and cleaning of work areas.
