Programme Description

The competencies covered in this module provides the participants with the knowledge and skills required for gas welding and  cutting works in the  welding and fabrication  industry. The module utilises competency based approaches to measure trainee outcomes. Gas welding is commonly used to permanently join mild steel. Gas cutting, also referred as oxy-fuel cutting, uses a cutting torch to do the  cutting.The correct procedures The competencies  encompassed in this module is equivalent to Level 4 of the National  Qualification for Welding and Fabrication.
