Programme Description

his module is designed to meet the requirements of first-time tuition in safe working practices for participants who work with power tools and equipment and the  knowledge and skills required to prepare trainees to become part of the fabrication and welding industry.The module utilises competency based approaches to measure trainee outcomes.The competencies  encompassed in this module is equivalent to Level 4 of the National  Qualification for Welding and Fabrication

Course Learnings

Demonstrate the fundamental knowledge of the Occupational Health & Safety Act of Fiji
Identify the types of workplace environment, the associated hazards and occupational environment safety signs,
Demonstrate knowledge of general workplace safety   
Demonstrate the knowledge of the working with electricity  
Demonstrate the knowledge of working with welding consumables 
Demonstrate the knowledge of preparation works before welding
