Programme Description

This module is designed to meet the requirements for the knowledge of Fitting & Machining Trade. Anyone with a Machining skills is permitted to perform part production activities. Machininng is work involving the use of center lathe as basic machine and other machining equipment and associated process nvolved. The participants will be guided through the competency based training methods that is widely adopted at NTPC.  The competencies encompassed in this module are equivalent to Level 4 of the National Qualification for Fitting and Machining Trade.

Demonstrate knowledge  on the introduction basic process
Identify setting on turning, boring, facing
Perform machining by using lathe and drilling machine
Demonstrate knowledge on awkward types of turning
