Programme Description

This course is designed to provide the student with the knowledge and skills to identify, explain and apply the installation principles for any refrigeration  and air conditioning system. Participants will also be able read and identify wiring diagrams and correctly connect and test power source wiring and link  and correct procedures for ground work. The competencies encompassed in this module is equivalent to Level 4 of the National Qualifications for Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Trade

Course Learnings

Identify and repair the following troubles related to installation work: refrigerant leak; improper operation; water leak; inoperative
Select suitable places to install condensing and fan coil units and carryout proper procedures of installation,
Explain the 3 principles of refrigerant piping and explain the importance of covering refrigerant pipes 
Carryout refrigerant pipe bending, flaring and swaging, pressure testing, evacuation and charging
Read and identify wiring diagram and correctly connect and test power source wiring and link wiring and correct procedures for grounding work
