Programme Description

This course is designed to provide the participant with the knowledge and skills to locate and apply specific information from various standards and Acts, understand the general distribution for supply and return air requirements and the  different types of filters used by ventilation and air conditioning systems. They will also learn about  ductworks, the symbols and layouts, balancing ventilation and air conditioning systems as well as fans used in ventilation and air conditioning systems. The competencies encompassed in this module is equivalent to Level 4 of the National Qualification for Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Trade

Course Learnings

To locate and apply specific information from various Standards and Acts
Understand the general distribution for supply and return air requirements for a ventilation system
Understand the different types of filters used by ventilation and air conditioning systems 
Understand ductworks, the symbols and layouts and learn to air balance ventilation / air conditioning systems
Learn about fans used in ventilation and air conditioning systems including the types, operation, classifications and applications.
