Programme Description | The module provides the learner with a thorough understanding of the function and purpose of a refrigerant, the various desirable and ideal properties of a refrigerant and the various types of refrigerants available. The safety aspects, methods of reclaiming refrigerants, evacuation, leak detection and an understanding of system contamination are also discussed. Participants will also learn of the effects of Ozone depleting substances on the Ozone layer and its effects on ozone depletion and the environment. The competencies encompassed in this module is equivalent to Level 4 National Qualification for Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Trade. |
