Programme Description
Every project involves cost management. Whether its delivery is internal or external to the organisation, every project has a cost implication to the organisation\'s bottom-line profit, cash flow and overall financial well-being. Poor estimates, unrealistic budgets, ROI\'s falling short of expectations, poor change control and generally poor financial management usually reflect a lack of knowledge and awareness of the processes, tools and techniques that are available for managing project costs effectively. This course focuses on providing the knowledge, techniques and practical application of project costing tools to support participants in successfully managing project cost, thus ensuring the maximization of business returns.

Identify resource requirements for individual tasks identified in the work breakdown , structure, with input from stakeholders and guidance from others , Determine project costs to enable project budget to be prepared within agreed tolerances , Create a project budget, list categories of cost and calculate contingency funding , Apply cost-analysis tools to identify cost variations and evaluate alternative actions , Exercise and monitor agreed actions to maintain financial objectives including , carrying out earned value analysis , Review project outcomes using available records to determine effectiveness of project cost management
