Programme Description

This course offers the basic knowledge for compliance to the environmental legislations of Fiji. Regulation is one of the most important environmental management techniques used around the world and Fiji has enacted its first specific environmental management legislation. It is critical that businesses, industries and other related workplaces are aware of this legislation and what it means in terms of environmental compliance. Also, it is imperative that when certain parts of the Environmental Management Act come in action, industries will have to comply with more stringent laws and regulations. Therefore, for any business, industry and other workplace to be operating within the laws of Fiji, knowledge about the environment legislation is a requirement and an obligation
