Programme Name Postgraduate Diploma in Mental Health (Quota Based)
Programme Description
The main goal of the Postgraduate Diploma in Mental Health is to provide Fiji and the Pacific region with doctors, nurses and other allied mental health workers trained in basic mental health practice.  The graduates of this programme will be able to perform basic clinical practice skills such as mental status examinations, counseling, simple pharmacologic intervention (pursuant to the regulations of relevant local accrediting bodies i.e. Medical Council, Nurse and Midwives' Board, etc.) and diagnosis of mental health disorders; they will know when to refer seriously-ill patients to specialists and tertiary centers.

Minimum Requirement
1. Duly certified papers attesting to completion of the required qualifications MBBS degree, Bachelor in Nursing/Bachelor in Public Health Nursing or other relevant Bachelor’s degree in the social sciences from a recognised tertiary institution in the country of origin or overseas and with medical registration in Fiji.
2. Certificate of good moral character from previous supervisor.
3. Satisfactory results of general physical examination (signed by appointed medical doctor).
4. Police clearance
