Programme Description
The Certificate IV in Media and Journalism is a two semester programme that prepares students for a career as radio announcers, TV producers, journalists, presenters, web journalists, public relation officers, and information officers. The programme is also an introduction to careers in media production work in television, film and digital animation. It introduces students to the following subjects: News Writing, Research Skills, Radio and TV Journalism, Print and Web Journalism, Political Journalism, Values and Ethics in Journalism, Public Relations, and Investigative Journalism.

Minimum Requirement
For admission to Certificate IV in Media and Journalism is a pass in Fiji Year 12 examination or equivalent with English and two other subjects. The English mark must be 75% or more. Recognition would also be granted to practicing journalists who have little or no formal journalism qualification.
