|Programme Name||Postgraduate Diploma in Environmental Health (Disaster Management) (Quota Based) *No new admission in semester 1 - 2022|
The programme targets (but not exclusively) managers of, as well as those who practice, aspects of Disaster Management in the context of Environmental Health. This programme is designed to ultimately offer upskilling for the existing Environmental Heath workforce in a broad range of important Environmental Health determinants. It is completed over a minimum of 2 semesters (full time study equivalent) over a maximum of 4 semesters part-time study.
1. Obtained a bachelor’s degree in the relevant discipline (BEH, BEng, BPH, BSc or equivalent) with a minimum GPA of 3.0 out of 4.5 and/or out of 5.0; OR 2. Candidates who have had some work experience (at least 3-5 years) in their related discipline and at least have worked within an Environmental Health related discipline area. 3. Applicants may also be admitted to these postgraduate programmes who may not meet the requirement on the years of continuous education progression, but who are able to demonstrate their ability to succeed in programmes at these levels on the basis of their maturity, work experience or prior learning. The Dean may require such an applicant to sit for any specific or general examination as a prerequisite for any such enrolment or may restrict enrolment only to certain prescribed courses that must be passed to progress further (UASR 2013 p.29 6.11.2). 4. Regional and international applicants will need qualifications assessed by the Pacific Community (SPC)’s Educational Quality and Assessment Programme, or equivalent.
