Programme Description
The Diploma in Dental technology programme is designed to impart evidence-based didactic and practical training in the field of dental technology with the overarching aim to produce competent dental technologists able to support the oral rehabilitation needs of the population of pacific Island countries through a team approach.

Minimum Requirement
The two year programme offered at levels 5-6, leading to a Diploma in Dental Technology provides graduates an entry into the rapidly evolving and technologically advancing field of dental technology.
a. A pass in Year 13 Examination or equivalent with a minimum aggregate mark of 250 out of 400 including a pass in English, Mathematics, Biology and Chemistry/Physics OR;
b. Pass in full Foundation Science programme or equivalent with a minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.5 out of 4.5 or 2.53 out of 5 including a pass in English, Mathematics, Biology and Chemistry/Physics OR;
c. Conditional enrolment or alternative entry: applicants who are able to demonstrate their ability to succeed in this programme on the basis of their maturity together with relevant work experience or/and prior learning may be considered for placement upon approval by the Dean or/and the programme Coordinator, as per the University Academic , Student Regulations (UASR).
d. Regional and international applicants will need qualifications assessed by the Pacific Community (SPC)'s Educational Quality and Assessment programme.
English language:
The language of instruction is English. Candidates may need to demonstrate English language proficiency through IELTS or its equivalent where applicable.
