The early registration response to the Fiji National University’s (FNU) Virtual Open Week (VOW) has been overwhelming, with participants anxiously waiting in anticipation for the event, which will be held next week on 13-17 September.

Despite the current restrictions, prospective students and their parents and guardians will still be able to be part of the University’s annual event and learn more about the academic opportunities available to them at FNU.

During the week-long event, participants will be able to speak to academic and support staff at FNU and have their queries answered.

Below are some of the College and study options available at FNU:

TVET Pasifika

TVET Pasifika brings together the full range of FNU’s Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) into one place and offers students, employers and partners an unrivalled choice of programmes.

FNU’s TVET courses are developed in close consultation with the industry stakeholders and such are designed to maximise employability and productivity, which are essential for post-pandemic economic recovery.

Our extensive portfolio is tailored to support diverse industry sectors relevant to our region, including agriculture and the marine sector, hospitality and tourism, business and commerce, engineering and technology, education and community care.

Our wide range of courses offer individuals and organisations opportunities to train, up-skill and re-skill to meet the changing requirements of national and regional labour markets – now and in the future.

FNU has a successful track-record of delivering high-quality, industry-relevant TVET, in all disciplines and aligned to every major employment sector. Our TVET courses also has clearly articulated pathways into higher education undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.

College of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (CAFF)

Students interested in the fields of agriculture, fisheries and forestry will find a course at CAFF suited to their study and career ambitions.

The College offers a diverse range of programmes from Certificate to PhD levels, with the hands-on industrial attachment component providing students with the relevant industry skills and knowledge. The programmes range in areas from Agriculture to Fisheries, Forestry, Aquaculture, Animal Science, Animal Health, Agroforestry, and Wood Processing.

The College closely collaborates with relevant government ministries and has partnerships with local, regional and international organisations in areas of mutual interests.

College of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences (CMNHS)

FNU’s College of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences has deeply rooted history dating back to the 1800s. Conceived from a very humble beginning, it has faithfully trained healthcare professionals for Fiji and the region for over a century.

CMNHS has stood the tests of time and remain resilient in its vision to train quality health professionals who are fit for purpose in the midst of a dynamic landscape of higher education and employment.

The College ensures that its graduates receive a holistic learning experience to equip them in serving the diverse communities and make a difference in the lives of our Pacific people. Yes, with our partners, we remain at the very heart of Pacific Health.

Prospective students can choose a programme offered by the College’s six Schools in the areas of Medical Sciences, Health Sciences, Dentistry and Oral Health, Nursing, Public Health and Primary Care. We also offer Postgraduates and Higher Degree by Research programmes.
