Moodle Workshop @ Ba Campus

Posted On: July 18, 2019

For the first time since the inception of the Centre for Flexible & E-Learning (CFEL), a one day intensive introductory Moodle workshop was conducted at the Ba Campus for teaching staff on 15 July 2019. The ‘Getting Started & Involved with Moodle’ training covered the basic Resource vs. Activity functions of the learning management system. In the session, teachers were also given pointers about good practice habits for using the various Moodle tools to support their courses. Learning Technologist, Sania Chambers led the training facilitation. Learning Designer, Alena Meo also highlighted the pedagogical aspects of why these Moodle tools were necessary, coming from a teaching background. She also emphasized the importance of why new users should not be afraid of using technology as they were teaching in an era of millennial learners. Participants generally found the training useful and worthwhile for their teaching. The workshop facilitators enjoyed the breathtaking views of the FNU Ba Campus nestled on a hilltop, and were appreciative of the very accommodating staff members and campus coordinator, Mr. Nikleshwar Datt that made the visit over to Ba very enjoyable!
