“Graphic designing is not just a skill; it’s the language that allows imagination and creativity to say thousands of words.”

These were the sentiments of nineteen-year-old Ryan Kumar, who enrolled for the Certificate in Graphic Design at the Fiji National University (FNU) booth at the Fiji Showcase, which is being held at the Vodafone Arena in Suva.

“I like to draw and design, and that is where my passion developed to do a graphic design course at the Fiji National University (FNU),” he said.

“I was also part of the visit to FNU during the Open Day last year, and I liked the visit, and it motivated me to join FNU.”

“I am interested to be starting my new journey. Apart from studies, I look forward to balancing my studies by going to the FNU gym.”

Kumar was accompanied by his mother, Renuka Kumar, to the FNU booth. She said she was happy witnessing her son join the tertiary education.

“He was always interested in joining FNU, especially because of the hands-on practical side of the programmes.”
