LEVUKA, FIJI – The Fiji National University (FNU) outreach team wrapped up its 2025 application drive in the Lomaiviti Group with a successful visit to Levuka Public School.
This comes after a series of informative sessions across various Kadavu and parts of Lomaiviti Group. The initiative aimed to engage with students and provide insights into the diverse programmes offered by FNU, ensuring that prospective students are well-equipped for their future academic journeys.
Throughout the week, the FNU team visited several schools, including Vunisea Secondary School and Richmond High School, where Year 12 and Year 13 students actively sought information regarding the courses available and received valuable academic counseling.
Acting Manager Outreach Vijayta Sharma said the students at Vunisea showed a keen interest in understanding how FNU’s programmes aligned with their career aspirations.
“The outreach continued at Koro High School, where the team met with Year 12 students immediately after their first examination paper. The excitement was palpable as Year 13 students also engaged with FNU representatives, eager to explore their options for the 2025 Semester 1 academic year,” Ms Sharma said.
At Gau Secondary School, she added the team expressed gratitude to the Year 13 students who dedicated their Saturday to meet with FNU staff and fill out their applications. This enthusiasm, she said demonstrated the commitment of students to plan their futures effectively.
“The final stop at Levuka Public School marked a significant conclusion to the outreach campaign. The FNU team was pleased to connect with students, addressing their questions and guiding them through the application process.”
FNU remains committed to fostering educational opportunities and empowering students to achieve their dreams. The outreach initiative not only facilitates access to information about academic programs but also strengthens the bond between the university and the communities it serves.
Koro High School teacher Semisi Caucau extended their heartfelt gratitude to FNU for making the effort to visit our school.
“Your commitment to assist our students with their applications, despite the geographical challenges, reflects a level of dedication and support that we will never forget,” Mr Caucau publicly stated on social media.
“Your willingness to reach out and help our students take the next step in their educational journey has made a profound impact. This opportunity has opened doors for our students, offering them guidance and encouragement to pursue their aspirations confidently.”
