The Fiji National University (FNU) will kick off its annual Roadshow in Nausori tomorrow, Saturday, 11 January 2025.
The Roadshow will travel to various locations around the country namely Nausori, Navua, Sigatoka, Nadi, Lautoka, Ba, Tavua, Rakiraki, Savusavu, Labasa, and Nabouwalu, providing an invaluable opportunity for both new and continuing students to seek assistance with enrolment, registration, and accommodation applications for the upcoming Semester 1, 2025.
The Roadshow will take place on selected days over a three-week period, running from Thursday, 16 January to Saturday, 1 February 2025.
FNU Vice-Chancellor Professor Unaisi Nabobo-Baba said the FNU Roadshow is designed to reach students in their own communities, making it easier for them to access information and services directly from the University.
Professor Nabobo-Baba encouraged the students to visit the nearest venue to meet FNU staff who will provide guidance on the application process, assist with registration difficulties, and answer any questions students may have about their academic journey.
“At FNU, we are committed to making education accessible to all Fijians. Our Roadshow will provide a convenient and accessible platform for students, especially those in rural and remote areas, to engage with us directly,” Professor Nabobo-Baba said.
“Our staff are here to assist, and we encourage any student experiencing difficulties to visit one of the Roadshow locations. Let us help you overcome any hurdles, so you can focus on achieving your academic goals.”
“Whether you are a new student looking to join the FNU family or a continuing student needing assistance with enrolment or accommodation, our teams will be there to help you every step of the way.”
The Roadshow will also offer students the opportunity to apply for University accommodation, a much-needed service for students who will be relocating from outside the region to pursue their studies.
This is an important addition to the Roadshow, as it allows students to secure their living arrangements well ahead of the start of Semester 1.
“We understand that securing accommodation is often a challenge for many of our students, especially those coming from distant areas. This year, we are making it easier by offering on-the-spot applications at the Roadshow venues,” Professor Nabobo-Baba added.
“We strongly encourage all students to take advantage of this opportunity, as securing accommodation early ensures that they can focus on their studies without the stress of housing uncertainties.”
Students interested in attending the Roadshow are welcome to visit any of the listed locations for assistance. The full schedule and locations are available on the FNU website and social media platforms.
Enrolments for Semester 1, 2025 are underway at FNU and will close on 14 February 2025.
The Roadshow will also offer students the opportunity to apply for University accommodation.
