Secondary school students will be able to take a virtual tour of Fiji National University (FNU) Campuses, learn about the wide range of programmes on offer and ask academic experts questions in study areas of interest in ‘real-time’ during the first-ever Virtual Open Day from 17 to 21 August 2020.

Director Marketing and Communications, Jenies Mudiliar said FNU is excited to provide potential students and members of public important information regarding study opportunities, minimum entry requirements and enrolment details which they can receive from the comfort of their school or home.

The COVID-19 pandemic has opened new avenues for the delivery of education and technology has become an integral part of daily learning and teaching.

“Given the present gathering and social distancing measures currently in place in our country, we decided to conduct this year’s open day virtually so that the potential students are not deprived of the information they need to make the important career choices,” said Mudiliar.

“The potential students will be able to get information on the programmes offered by our five colleges, training centre and Technical College of Fiji (TCF). Together with this, they will also learn about other student support services offered by the University that will be essential for them to know when they begin their tertiary education journey at FNU.”

Mudiliar highlighted that the potential students will get the opportunity to experience the University environment through a Campus Tour video, which will take them through the seven major campuses of the University around Fiji.
