The Fiji National University (FNU) remains committed to making higher education accessible to Fijians across the country by taking its services to the main town and city centres across Fiji.

The FNU Enrolment Drive Roadshow, now in its second week, is helping students and families in rural and remote areas around Fiji access enrolment information, academic counselling, programme details and instant offer letters.

FNU’s Acting Outreach Manager, Ropate Robi, said it was encouraging to see the big turnout of students, parents and guardians at all the roadshow venues across the country.

“It indicates to us that they value their education and future careers.  Bringing these roadshows closer to their homes makes it more convenient,” said Robi.

“We are about empowering Fijians to pursue their academic aspirations and to turn their dreams into reality.”

Eighteen-year-old Josaia Lomanikaya travelled from Rararua village in Rukuruku, Ba early morning to enrol into the Certificate in Carpentry (Level 4) programme at the Sigatoka roadshow.

Lomanikaya shared that FNU’s roadshow, and the enrolment process was convenient and that studying at FNU will ensure he has the right skill set and knowledge to pursue his dream career in engineering.

“This programme is my stepping stone into pursuing higher education in this field. My dream is to become an engineer,” added Lomanikaya.

I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to the team who allows mothers like me to press on and believe in their dreams to attain the education we need,” said Raleqe who currently works at Paddy’s shop in Rakiraki.

It was her passion for elderly care and her love for her children that brought her to FNU’s roadshow.
