The Fiji National University (FNU) has joined hands with the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua for their upcoming 2024 Open Day, further strengthening the University’s commitment to empowering Fijians to “Dream It, Weave It, Achieve It.”

FNU Vice-Chancellor, Professor Unaisi Nabobo-Baba, said that the university was thrilled about the partnership and believes that it would allow attendees to witness the power of fulfilled dreams by meeting members of the Fijian Drua team.

“Partnering with the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua is a perfect embodiment of our Open Day theme, ‘Dream It, Weave It, Achieve It,” stated Professor Nabobo-Baba.

“The Drua players have shown us time and again that with hard work, teamwork, and perseverance, no obstacle is too big. They inspire Fijians, both young and old, to pursue their dreams and tackle challenges head-on.”

The Vice-Chancellor emphasised how both FNU and the Drua share a common vision of nurturing local talent and promoting excellence.

“Just as the Drua have woven together their talents to achieve success on the rugby field, FNU weaves together knowledge, skills, and opportunities to help our students reach their full potential,” Professor Nabobo-Baba added.
