In a strategic initiative to expand educational opportunities and foster intellectual growth, the Fiji National University’s (FNU) Roadshow team assisted students choose a study pathway and career in which they can flourish and prosper.

The FNU Roadshow promises a comprehensive immersion into the diverse programmes offered by FNU, igniting a passion for knowledge and empowering local communities.

Head of Campus Labasa, Pradeep Lal, said the roadshow is a pivotal moment for the students and for parents who want their children to unlock their academic potential and secure a career path.

“FNU’s Roadshow in Labasa is more than just a recruitment event; it’s a comprehensive academic expo. Explore the University’s diverse array of programmes in science, engineering, education, agriculture, business, humanities, social sciences, and medicine. Whether you envision yourself wielding a medical scalpel, crafting innovative technologies, nurturing young minds, or spearheading successful ventures, FNU has a programme meticulously tailored to your aspirations,” Lal said.

Pita Diavoli and his family left their home in Vunisea, Saivou, Ra, at 6.30am determined to get enrolled at FNU.

His father, Caucau Gasa, was over the moon when he held his son’s offer letter in his hands.

“He is my youngest child and watching him successfully transition from high school to FNU has made me the proudest man in Fiji today,” said Gasa.

Diavoli is pursuing his childhood dream of becoming an educator by enrolling in the Bachelor of Education (Secondary)(Industrial Arts) programme. He will be based at FNU’s Natabua Campus.

“I chose FNU because they offered my programme of choice close to my home town, which allows me to be there for my parents when they need me,” said Diavoli.

“The FNU Rakiraki Roadshow was very convenient and easy! I was surprised and happy that I could get my offer letter, register for my units, and apply for accommodation at the same time.”
