Fiji Business Excellence Awards celebrates 25 years of driving National Progress

For the last 25 years, the Fiji National University’s National Training and Productivity Centre (NTPC) has served as the powerhouse behind the Fiji Business Excellence Awards (FBEA).

This prestigious awards programme has not only spotlighted Fiji’s top businesses, but it has also fuelled a national movement for excellence, innovation, and community contributions.

In his keynote address, the President of the Republic of Fiji, His Excellency Ratu Wiliame Katonivere, commended the FBEA’s role in driving economic prosperity.

Fiji National University (FNU) Chair of Council and Chancellor, Mr Semesa Karavaki, FNU Vice-Chancellor, Professor Unaisi Nabobo-Baba and the President of the Republic of Fiji, His Excellency Ratu Wiliame Katonivere at the 25th Year Silver Jubilee celebrations of the Fiji Business Excellence Awards at the Grand Pacific Hotel in Suva last night.

“The Fiji Business Excellence Framework plays a decisive role in driving the nation’s economic prosperity. By encouraging businesses to adopt best practices that lead to increased productivity, quality, and innovation, the FBEA fosters a more competitive business environment,” His Excellency Ratu Wiliame Katonivere stated.

The silver jubilee celebration at the Grand Pacific Hotel last night, saw the launch of the Centre of Excellence, the Asian Productivity Organization (APO) and Asia Pacific Quality Organisation (APQO).

“In turn, this attracts investments, creates jobs, and contributes to overall economic well-being. Additionally, the Framework’s emphasis on employee engagement empowers a skilled and qualified workforce, further encouraging economic growth.”

The President implored the leaders of businesses in Fiji to embrace the challenges of tomorrow with fervour and determination.

“As the custodians of Fiji businesses, I implore you to embrace the challenges of tomorrow with the same fervour and dedication that has brought you to reach this milestone. I encourage you to champion sustainability, embrace innovation, prioritise people, forge partnerships, and champion Fijian-made products and services on the global stage.”

The President of the Republic of Fiji, His Excellency Ratu Wiliame Katonivere, presented a President’s Award Circle Member recogniaward to the Fiji Ports Corporation Limited, at the 25th Year Silver Jubilee celebrations of the Fiji Business Excellence Awards at the Grand Pacific Hotel in Suva last night.

In a display of outstanding achievement, His Excellency Ratu Wiliame Katonivere presented the President’s Award Circle Member recognitions to Vodafone Fiji Ltd, Sheraton Fiji Resort, DHL, Energy Fiji Ltd, Air Terminal Services (Fiji) Ltd, Future Farms Ltd, Jacks Retail Limited, iTaukei Land Trust Board, Fijian Competition and Consumer Commission, Unit Trust of Fiji, and Fiji Ports Corporation Pte Ltd.
