New students hoping to join Fiji National University’s (FNU) College of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences (CMNHS) had their enrolment process completed ‘hassle-free’ thanks to the one-stop-shop set-up at the FNU Tamavua Campus Nursing Auditorium.

The set-up consists of academics from the College’s different schools, ICT personnel and staff from the accommodation and finance departments ready to assist the new students.

Furthermore, students can also enquire about their applications, receive academic counselling and get their offer letters instantly. The presence of the accommodation team at the Auditorium even eases the students’ efforts in applying for hostel accommodation at the University.

Nineteen-year-old Dinaulu Ranadi was all smiles after successfully enrolling in the Bachelor of Dietetics and Nutrition programme at CMNHS.

“Having a career in the nursing profession was my dream from childhood and I applied for the Bachelor of Nursing programme after completing Year 13. Since the programme is quota-based, I missed out on getting a seat in this programme,” said Ranadi.

“I have a passion to pursue a career in the health sector and was advised by the FNU team to enrol in the Bachelor of Dietetics and Nutrition programme. I’m thrilled to complete my enrolment and a look for commencing my students soon.”

Former Christian Mission Fellowship College student acknowledged the team for their guidance in her choice of programme.

“I’m happy that I decided on visiting the team here. I got the opportunity to speak directly with academics from various programmes and receive first-hand information on career pathways. The direction from the team narrowed down my programme choices.”

“Now I feel relieved that everything to start my university studies is sorted. Such set-ups are so convenient for us students otherwise we would be lost looking for offices to get our forms approved and other processes organised.”

“I came here asked about my application outcome, received counselling on what programmes I could get into, filled the forms, got necessary approvals and registered online. I even applied for hostel accommodation in this same room.”

Ranadi is excited to experience the uni-life with friends from her former high school.
