Current and prospective students excitedly lined up at the Fiji National University’s (FNU), Nasinu Campus main hall throughout the week to ensure their applications and enrolment are processed in time for the new academic year.

Booths set up at the venue for the new and continuing students aim to make the enrolment process efficient and straightforward, with allocated areas for applications, student ID services, accommodation and finance and computer kiosks for course information and requirements.

Among those waiting to have their ID cards processed was Karina Chand, accompanied by her older sister.

The 18-year-old former Penang Sangam High School student said she breathed a sigh of relief once she received her Offer Letter instantly from the Academic team and was eager to complete her admission into FNU.

“I am enrolled in the Bachelor of Education (Secondary) in Maths and Physics and after deciding in high school that I would pursue this course, today feels a bit like a dream that I am finally achieving,” Chand said.

“Choosing to study at FNU was easy as I knew the teacher training arm of the University is reputable and being trained by qualified lecturers and tutors will also make me a qualified graduate.”

“This is important to me because I aim to be a great teacher to my future students in the same way my teachers were to me.”

The youngest of three siblings, Chand said although she would be away from her parents and hometown of Rakiraki, she looked forward to tertiary life and making new friends and experiences.

The Bachelor of Education (Secondary) in Maths and Physics is one of more than 40 programmes offered by FNU’s College of Humanities and Education.

Prospective students can visit our Enrolment Booth at MHCC in Suva or a campus near you for enquiries, applications, and enrolment. Interested students can also visit our website on www.fnu.ac.fj for programme information and entry requirements. Enrolment for Semester 1 is underway.

Students who have received their Offer Letter can complete their enrolment process online or visit the nearest FNU campus.
