A young and soft-spoken Vilisi Bulimasi has set her goals and made sure she attended the Fiji National University’s (FNU) Roadshow to make her academic dreams a reality.
The Sigatoka Valley High School student from Yalava, Sasa in Macuata said she aspires to help children shape their future from a young age.
Backed by her own family experiences, Bulimasi said she hoped to break cycles of poverty and other social issues by being a teacher and positively influencing children so that they could become successful adults contributing to improved livelihoods.
“I was adopted, and I want to change family cycles,” she shared. “My motivation in life has always been my late father as he made me keep chasing my dreams.”
“My advice to students is that whatever you face in life, just keep chasing your dreams,” she said.
The 19-year-old successfully enrolled into the Fiji National University’s, Bachelor of Education (Secondary) programme during the 2023 Enrolment Roadshow at the Wishing Well in Sigatoka today.
“I chose FNU as the institution for my education because it offers many practical opportunities for students, and I have always wanted to study here.”
2023 FNU Roadshows
FNU has commenced its Enrolment Drive Roadshows this month to assist students with their application and enrolment needs for Semester 1, 2023 studies.
Students, parents, guardians, and stakeholders can visit our Roadshow booths to obtain academic counselling, enquire about our programmes and entry requirements, submit their applications, and receive an Offer Letter if all requirements are met.

For ease in admission and registration, FNU also has dedicated Enrolment Centres to serve new and continuing students at the Koronivia, Nasinu, Derrick, Ba, Natabua, Namaka and Labasa campuses. Students can visit these campuses to complete their application process.
