Earning the best allrounder graduate award was just the frosting on the cake for Jotishma Karan who graduated with an Advanced

Diploma in Leadership and Management from the Fiji National University.

The mother of two was part of the 101 graduates who graduated from the university’s Labasa campus last Thursday.

The Bulileka native said her sleepless nights and days of juggling between work, family life commitments and school had finally been rewarded.

“I thank the tremendous support from my husband, Ajay Pramil, for without his input I would not have been able to do this, especially when it came to attending to our two young daughters,” she said.

“It’s true what they say, nothing comes easily because the main ingredient for success is hard work.

“There are moments when one cries and comes to the verge of breaking down but picking up and treading on is something I do daily.”

Ms Karan said after receiving her certificate yesterday, she was inspired to continue her studies in the field of management. Mr Pramil said he was proud of his wife’s achievement.
