Dr Peggy Symmone Walo Emily Ravusiro from Papua New Guinea graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from the College of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences at the Fiji National University.

This year, she will stand among contestants at the Miss Fiji Pageant, vying for a national crown. But before any sash is placed upon her shoulders, Peggy has already claimed a crown that means far more to her than pageantry ever could.

Because today, she celebrates a milestone six years in the making.

“This is my crown,” she shares.

“Six years of my blood and tears, and of my family’s support. This is the cream of the cake for me.”

Graduation, an upcoming pageant, and a birthday next week—Peggy describes this moment of convergence as nothing short of divine orchestration.

“I don’t know if you call it God’s timing, where all of this is happening at once. But each day, I remind myself that whatever tomorrow looks like, God loves me.”
