A mother, Agnas O’Brian, flew into the country to witness her son, Joseph Rogers, graduate with a Certificate in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning from FNU today.

O’Brian left Australia yesterday and, upon arriving in Fiji, headed straight to the Vodafone Arena to ensure she didn’t miss the proud moment.

“It’s a big achievement in my son’s life, and I didn’t want to miss it! It’s an achievement for me as well, as a mother, because he has made us proud. I am truly happy to see how hard he has worked to come this far. My message to other young Fijians is to always try your best, and even if you fail, try again — and try harder.”
