It is often said that it takes a village to raise a child, and this morning, that truth was beautifully reflected as Mary-Lee Gloria Qalovaki’s cousins, niece, and nephew gathered to celebrate her remarkable achievement.
Despite losing her mother earlier this year, Mary-Lee was never left to walk alone. Her cousins surrounded her with love and support, ensuring she always felt the presence of family.
An emotional Paulini Musukasau shared her deep pride as her cousin, Mary-Lee graduates with a Bachelor of Education (Primary):
“Mary-Lee is the second primary school teacher in our family, and the first among her siblings to graduate with a degree. If her mother were here today, she would be overjoyed and celebrating even louder with us. We hope Mary knows the happiness she brings to our family. Though her journey was long and challenging, she never gave up. We are incredibly proud of her and look forward to seeing her continue her academic journey and make us even prouder.”
Congratulations, Mary-Lee. Your family celebrates you, and we believe heaven rejoices in your achievement today as well.
