Kelera Qativi, a Year 11 student from Ra High School in Rakiraki, found her future direction at the Fiji National University (FNU) open day held at the Nasinu Campus.

Inspired by her older brother, who is currently studying for a Bachelor of Accounting at FNU’s Bonunaqwele Campus, Kelera attended the event with her school, eager to explore her options.

Reflecting on her brother’s journey, Kelera said, “My brother was also unsure about his career when he was in high school, but the FNU open day helped him decide his path. Seeing him succeed has motivated me to find my own passion.”

Her experience at the open day proved equally influential.

After exploring various programmes and speaking with university representatives, Kelera confidently decided her future lies in law.

“I realised that becoming a lawyer is what I truly want to do. The open day gave me the confidence and information I needed to make that decision. I am now determined to pursue my studies at the Nasinu Campus in the coming years,” she said.

Kelera’s story is a testament to how FNU’s open day can inspire and guide young students in choosing their careers.
