Meet Grace Merewalesi, a student from Suva Special School who could hardly contain her excitement as she explored the Fiji National University (FNU) Open Day for the very first time.
Despite her challenges, Grace said she immediately felt at home at the campus.
“I was really excited to explore what FNU had to offer,” Grace shared.
“When I learned that FNU had a Disability Centre that supported students like me, it made me feel more confident about pursuing my studies here.”
The FNU Disability Centre provides inclusive support and guidance, ensuring students with disabilities can access learning opportunities and thrive academically.
For Grace, knowing that such a centre exists has inspired her to dream bigger and believe in her potential.
“This was my first time at the Open Day, and it was amazing to see that FNU cared about every student,” she said.
“I felt welcomed and encouraged to follow my goals, just like any other student.”
Grace’s experience reflects FNU’s commitment to creating an inclusive environment where all learners, regardless of their abilities, are empowered to craft their futures together.
