Samu Tulele, the school manager of Nasautoka District School, has thanked the Fiji National University for taking part in the Careers Expo held at the school today. Nasautoka District School is marking its 100th anniversary, and Tulele expressed his excitement despite the ongoing two-week school break.“It was wonderful to see so many students participating in the Expo,” he said. He highlighted the importance of having FNU present and offering academic programmes to young learners.
“Having FNU here and sharing their programmes helps open pathways for our students,” Tulele explained.
This was the first time the school hosted a Careers Expo, and Tulele said they were grateful for FNU’s involvement.
“We are thankful to FNU for showcasing their programmes to our students. It’s important to plant the seeds of education early, so children know what they want to pursue in life,” he added.
He also emphasised that while the school is celebrating a century of its history, what matters most is that students are gaining valuable knowledge about their future careers.
“It’s inspiring to see students learning about their options and ambitions,” Tulele said.
He shared his pride in FNU’s programmes, mentioning that some of their children are already studying there.
“The programmes offered by FNU look very promising, and it’s great to see our students following their dreams through higher education,” he said.
This event shows how education and guidance can shape the future of young minds, especially during a special milestone like a 100-year celebration.
