From FNU Student to Financial Professional

Avishna Akansha Pal’s journey at Fiji National University (FNU) has been nothing short of transformative.

Pursuing a Trade Diploma in Banking, she is on track to graduate this December, having navigated a path marked by both challenges and triumphs.

Reflecting on her university experience, Pal describes it as “an incredible ride, filled with ups and downs that have shaped me into the person I am today.”

From the initial nerves of campus life to the exhilaration of mastering demanding courses, she grew academically and personally.
“Through late-night study sessions, group projects, and extracurricular activities, I developed valuable skills in teamwork, time management, and problem-solving,” she explained.

Despite setbacks and moments of self-doubt, Pal learned resilience and to trust her abilities.

Looking back, she feels proud of her progress and confident that her university journey has prepared her for future endeavours.

Her education at FNU has been instrumental in her current role as a Credit Officer at Carpenters Finance Fiji.

Balancing studies, part-time work, and social commitments were demanding. Pal shared her strategy:

“Creating a schedule, prioritising tasks, and breaking them down into manageable chunks helped me stay organised. Attending campus events and engaging in group projects also built my network and boosted my confidence.”
