Korovuto College, a pillar of educational excellence in Nadi, is commemorating its 50th anniversary this year.

As part of the celebrations, the Fiji National University team is currently conducting an outreach visitation programme at the school, engaging with students, staff, and the wider community.

A prominent figure in the college’s history, Mahendra Kumar, was honoured as the first school Principal when Korovuto College was established in 1975. Kumar served from 1976 to 1980, during the formative years of the institution, and remains a respected figure in the community.

He expressed his gratitude towards FNU for their ongoing support and guidance to students, particularly as Year 12 and 13 students prepare to transition into university life.

Kumar shared his inspiring motto: “Truth is Victory. There is no comparison to having a great education.”

The ongoing partnership with Fiji National University exemplifies the commitment to empowering youth and preparing them for the opportunities and challenges ahead.
