Brief Biography:
Professor Anand Chand holds a PhD from the University of Wales, UK, a double master’s degree from the University of Manchester and The University of the South Pacific, and a Diploma in Business Studies from the University of Canterbury, NZ. The current role is Professor in the Department of Management and Acting Associate Dean Research & Innovation at Fiji National University. An extensive record of research and high-quality publications includes over 100 publications, consisting of 2 books, 2 monographs, and 96 peer-reviewed articles in high-ranked journals. The prestigious Emerald Publishers Award was received in 2014 for the best article in the Asia-Pacific Journal of Business Administration. Thirty-eight papers have been presented at international conferences, and large amounts of research funding have been secured from overseas donors.

As a dedicated supervisor, a total of 20 postgraduate student theses have been successfully supervised (4 PhD and 16 MCom students), with two students receiving gold medals. This expertise is further recognized internationally, having served as an examiner for 14 PhD and MCom theses from overseas universities.
